- Hot leg (Reactor to S/G) 604F
- Intermediate (S/G to RCP)
- Cold leg (RCP to reactor)547F
2
Q
Penetrations on RCS Loop 1
only on Loop 1
A
- Normal Letdown (Cold leg)
- Alternate charging (Hot leg)
3
Q

only on Loop 2
A
- Excess Letdown (inter. leg)
- RHR Pump suction (hot leg)
- Normal charging (cold leg)
4
Q

Only on loop 3
A
-PZR surge Line (hot leg)
5
Q
Penetrations common to all RCS Loops
A
- Drain to RCDT (Inter. leg)
- SI/RHR injection (Cold leg)
6
Q
Penetrations only on Loop 2 and 3
A
- PZR spray to PCV-455B (Cold leg)
- SI injection (Hot leg)
- Primary sampling (hot leg)
- RVLIS upper range tap (hot leg)
7
Q
RCP flow rate?
A
-88gpm per RCP
8
Q
RCP Power supplies
A
- A RCP - 4KV1
- B RCP - 4KV4
- C RCP - 4KV 2
9
Q
RCP motor amps
A
- 600-650 amps on hot run
- 750 amps on cold run (start)
10
Q
Bearing Oil Lift Pump power supplies
A
- A & C - MCC-2
- B - MCC- 1
11
Q
Bearing Oil lift pump purpose and infromation
A
- Sends oil to upper and lower shoes of thrust bearing simultaneously.
- Lubricates the thrust bearings
- RCP must not be started unless oil lift pump has been running for 2 mins.
- Must have lift pump running and 600psig to start a RCP.
12
Q
RCP motor space heaters
A
- Prevents condensation when RCP is stopped.
- 3 knife switches located in CV.
- On-off switch in Rod Control Room (Powered from MCC-8)
13
Q
RCP flywheel
A
- Adds inertia to increase RCP coastdown time
- Reduces consequences of a LOCA (DNB concerns)
- Also houses an anti-reverse rotation device. (no check valves in the system)
14
Q
RCP seals
gpm per seal to where?
A
- 8gpm from Charging pumps
- 5gpm down past Thermal barrier into the RCS
- 3gpm up to 1st seal (15psig back pressure from VCT)
- 3gph past 2nd seal (stand pipe with 7ft of water)
- 100cchr past 3rd seal to containment sump
15
Q
Shutdown seal
A
- Between number 1 seal and number 2 seal
- Upon loss of cooling, the shutdown seal will actuate preventing a loss of coolant accident
