Present- MP and PP capture the authors position, find out how he feels about other POV, look for attitude.
Absent- MP and PP captures both POV , avoid answers that captures OR assigns inappropriate authors POV, be neutral
In reading comprehension if author does not weigh in which side is correct then the author is?
