Raster Geoprocessing Flashcards
Euclidean distance
Tools that describe each cell’s relationship to a source, or a set of sources based on the straight-line distance.
Euclidean Direction
Gives the direction from each cell to the closest source. May be used when trying to find the direction to the closest town.
Euclidean allocation
Identifies the cells that are to be allocated to a source based on proximity. May be used to find the closest town.
Reclassify Tool
Allows you to reclassify or change input cell values to alternative values. May be used when there is new information or classifying to a common scale.
Map Algebra
A language that defines a syntax for combing map themes by applying mathematical operations and analytical functions to create new map themes.
Arithmetic Operators
Used to perform mathematical operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Relationship Operators
Used to compare values associated with date. For example, greater than, less than, maximum and/or minimum
Boolean Overlap Analysis
Model Builder
A visual programming language for building geoprocessing workflows.
