Complications of ear tags
A
Infection/abscesses - lance, antibacterial washes, topical antibiotics, bad cases broad spectrum antibiotics
Trauma - can be caught and torn out - clean/tie off vessels with haemorrhage, rarely require surgery

Place at 6-12 months in crush under light sedation
Placed through nasal septum, nose punch can be used
Allow to heal before use for restraint
