After the battle of Kadesh, Egypt and the hittites signed the first peace treaty ever recorded, decreasing the amount of war in egypt.

He often lied about thing, such as winning the battle of kadesh. He also had 200 wives and over 100 children.
Why was he important?
He was important because of his military strengths and fighting ability.
Battle of Kadesh
The Battle of Kadesh was when Ramses II and his army had to fight the Hittites to regain control over Kadesh. The first time they fought, they drawed, both sides claiming to win. The second time, they became the first people to sign a peace treaty.
