Describe the CXR investigation of lung cancer
A
- Lesions often more subtle
- Compare with previous films
- Look at review areas: apices, hila, behind heart and diaphragm

Describe the staging process used to plan management of lung cancer
A
- History/examination
- Performance status
- Pulmonary function
TNM;
- Tumour: size, position, spread
- lymph Nodes
- Metastases: spread to other organs

Define Horner’s syndrome
A
- Constricted pupil (miosis)
- Drooping eyelid (ptosis)
- No facial sweating (anhidrosis)
- Sinking of eyeball into bone cavity (enophthalmos)
