Racing Liquids Flashcards

1
Q

In this lab, we poured four different liquids down a ramp and timed how long it took each one to reach the bottom. This helped us understand their flow rates and how thick or thin they were. Less thick liquids reached the bottom faster, while thicker ones took longer. We measured their flow rates by dividing the distance they traveled by the time it took. We made sure to keep variables like temperature and ramp angle consistent. By analyzing our data, we could compare the viscosities of the liquids and discuss why some were thicker than others. Overall, the lab helped us see how different liquids have different thicknesses and resistances to flow.
