What’s a categorical statement?
A proposition that asserts or denies that all or some of the members of one category (the subject term) are included in another (the predicate term).

Which statements are affirmative?

Define a contradictory term
2 statements that cannot both be true and cannot both be false (A-O & E-I).

Define a subcontrary term
2 statements that can both be true but cannot both be false (I-O).
Define a subalternation
The logical relationship between a universal statement and a particular statement (A to I and E to O).
