What is the difference between conformity and obedience?
Conformity - no explicit demand to conform
Obedience - commanded to comply
What are the 2 reasons people conform?
(1) normative social influence - we seek others approval or seek to avoid their disapproval
(2) informational social influence - want to be right and not wrong
