When Jesus rose from the dead he appeared to many people. One of the people was Mary Magdalene. She was the first person to notice the empty tomb. Jesus also appeared to the disciples. They first doubted, but hen believed him.

A

One argument for believing that the resurrection is a historically validated event is that, if Jesus didn’t rise, then why wouldn’t Rome prove that he didn’t. Therefore if Rome had no proof of his body still being there, he must have risen.

A

In first Corinthians chapter 15, Saint Paul was addressing the issue of Jesus rising. He was listing several reasons proving that Jesus actually rose.

A

Paul tells us that a resurrected body is a transformed body. He uses the analogy of a seed being planted and only after it is buried it will transform. He never was able to describe a risen body through.

A

The resurrection gives us hope about our resurrection because it confirms that all of Jesus teachings are true. Jesus preached that when we die we will live forever in heaven. We know that this is true, so it gives us hope.

Jesus descended to hell because he had to go through the complete process of human dying. He was judged in the underworld to see where he would go. By doing this he defeated sin.
