When can EMS units be disregarded?
Police/Fire can’t locate, caller transports patient himself, accidental medical alarm,
caller calls to cancel => take full name, and number, tell them benefits of EMS evaluation, they understand canceling, note all in comments and tell dispatcher

Try to transfer, if that doesn’t work => take call as JURIS and relay the info to other jurisdiction
When personal info is relayed to police, how do we handle it?
Put in comments “name”/DOB/provided to hospital/authority of “unit #”

Tell them to call Crime Solvers back during regular business hours with their tip number
How do we assign tip numbers for new callers?
Use next available anonymous #, write in the tip book with date, time, and our unit number in the block under number
What do we do when tippers call in about crimes that will happen before the next business day?
Contact appropriate road supervisor who will send a patrol or another division to handle it, we note supervisor and call for service # on a Post It on the tip sheet
