Medical Fire - this code will be used when a fire unit responds to man an ambulance at a station or when another jurisdiction requests EMS/ALS assistance from one of Chesterfield’s stations (to include meeting at the station or another designated location)

Mulch fires - inc all mulch fires; as well as grass, brush fires in the median strip

Medical MVA- inc all motor vehicle accident where only a fire unit handles and they have medical issues involved (fire unit runs up on the call and they advise they have minor injuries or patient refusals and no ambulance is needed)

Public Service - inc water shut off, tree removal from roadway, etc (Engine or Truck may be recommended to handle); carbon monoxide detector activation reported by alarm company or residents; also includes “safe place” situations

Serious Brush Fire - inc all woods, grass, trees, field fires and fire of same nature, spreading fast and over a large area. This will be Dispatcher discretion based on descriptors provided by the caller. Will also be used in place of BRUSH when conditions warrant and is initiated by the FD Operations Deputy, Operations Division Chief, or Shift Commander

Trench/Earth Collapse - incidents where trench or excavations have collapsed or underground construction requires special sheeting and shoring operations

Water/Ice Recovery- any situation where persons visible and trapped or stranded in water or on an ice covered lake, pond, river or pool
