Q

WEAKNESSES OF QUESTIONNAIRES

A

Many people cannot be bothered to do the questionnaire.

Postal questionnaires have weak response rates.

Produces data low in validity as real life is too complex to be categorised.

Closed questions suffer from ‘imposition problems’ as they measure what the sociologist thinks rather than what the experience is.
