A
- simple, unambiguous terms that are understood by everyone
- explicit definitions
- avoid long complex questions, risks, incomprehensible, redundant, confusing
- no double stimuli, should only relate to one fact, avoid negations
- avoid suggestive questions - do not provoke specific answer
- avoid questions that people presumably do not know
- formulate questions with a clear temporal reference
- answer categories should be exhaustive and non-overlapping
