quantitative chapter 15 Flashcards
What is Chi Square?
Examines how similar the actual scores of a group are compared to evenly distributed scores along a chi-square distribution
if a Chi Square equals 0, this means
that observed frequencies and expected frequencies are the same, therefore tyhere is no difference between them
if you have two nominal variables, the appropriate statistic test to examine difference is
Chi Square
before we start the Chi Square test, we have to set this, which does this
significance level for confident results, which usually rests at 95% or 0.05
degrees of freedom means
the number of options a customer or participant has
what does a critical value table do?
determines whether a specific chi-square value is statistically significant
Chi Square is this kind of a test, because all you’re going to get us a readout of this
difference
