Quality assurance Flashcards

Quality Assurance is a method of improving quality, by involving all staff in assessing the quality of a product throughout the production process.
How could you replace quality inspectors
So instead of having a quality inspector that checks the raw materials when they come in, and at the end, you would have each person on the production line that takes the product through a certain process, can make sure the product is being made properly - As the staff are experts in there part of the production process, they’ll be able to identify if the quality is where it’s supposed to be without an issue
What are the benefits of quality assurance
Workers are empowered to make decisions about quality, increasing confidence.
Problems tend to be spotted earlier in the production process.
Fewer wasted products and materials.
