Q10- lqc 17b Flashcards
1
Q
why is the q10?
A
the temp coefficient. the rate of reaction approximately doubles for each 10°c rise, most enzymes q10 is between 2&3
2
Q
q10=
A
rate of reaction at temp T + 10°c / rate of reaction at temp T
3
Q
how to use the q10 equation and a temp vs rate graph to calculate q10
A
choose 2 temps 10°c apart in the increasing exponential phase of temp/rate graph. read the rate of these temps from graph and then use equation - should be between 2&3
