Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency(PKDef)

A

Autosomal recessive disease shortening lifespan of RBC’s by limiting last step of glycolysis. Leads to hemolytic anemia.
Common in: Beagle, Cairn Terrier, Pug, West Highland White Terrier
