A
- Skin inspection and notations made in documentation is important (insurance)
- Educate pt for self-inspection to promote independence and self-direction of care
- Inspection involves observation and palpation

Sensory Assessment
A
- Use primary PT eval as base line for test, re-test as needed for current neurological status
- Light touch, sharp/dull, deep pressure

A
- Be cautious with resistance at shoulder with cervical involvement; hips and lower trunk with papalegia (follow precautions)
- Be familiar with gravity eliminated positioning
- Use the primary PT eval for base line motor/sensory and retest as needed to assess for neurological return vs. decline
