PSR = a mental health treatment philosophy or approach that promotes resilience, personal recovery, full community integration and a sense of purpose for those with a mental disorder or addiction

Some principles of PSR aren’t completely realistic to all people living with mental illness:
- they can’t integrate fully into the community/the community doesn’t want them integrated
- not always simple when person lacks insight into their mental health
- lack of beds in hospitals/institutions
