A

60 babies from Glasgow at monthly intervals for the first 18 months of life using a longitudinal method

  • kids studied in this own homes, visited monthly for 1 year
  • by 10months most babies had several attachments i.e mother,father,siblings
  • 18m mother main figure for half, father for other half
