Q

What’s induction

A

Observations of real world phenomena lead to analysis of patterns that can be seen. Generalisations from those patterns lead to the development of testable hypotheses which can be used to build a theory.

Q

What’s deduction ?

A

Observations lead directly to the generalisation of theories from which testable hypotheses are developed- these are used to make predictions which are tested by observations
