med you need to avoid in anorexia nervosa

35 morbidly obese
>85-95% th percentile for kids
drug for obesity
orlistat (complicatoin- steatorhea)
metformin for diabetes
mania
at least 1 week long (less if hospitalized)
hypomania- 4 days
tx for bipolar
mania- lithium, antipsychotic, benzos
commonly lithium or valproate + antipsychotic
adjustment disorder
w/in 3 months of stressor
dysthymic disorder
baby depression
depressed mood for 2 years on most days for most of the day
cluster A personality
paranoid- distrust or suspicious of others.
schizoid- avoid social relationships.
schizotypal-paranoid in social situations, odd /magical thinking
cluster b
histrionic- excessively emotional and attention seeking
narcisitic- best person in the world
borderline- unstable relationships, self image, impulse control, hot and cold
antisocial- disregard for right of others
cluster c
avoidant- feel inadequate, social inhibition, hypersensitive to criticism
OCD- aware of problem; ocpd not aware
dependent- can’t make own decisions
delusional disorder
non bizarre delusions
somatization
non specific physical complaints that can’t be explained medically
conduct disorder
disrupted behavior in children
vandalism, theft, lying
schizophrenia
delusions halucinations disorganized speech disorganized or catatonic behavior negative symptoms (social withdrawal, lack of motivation, lack of speech) must have 2sxs (at least 1,2, or 3)
schizoaffective
schizophrenia + mood disorder (bipolar or depression)
