- alcohol or drugs
- unprofessional / illegal behaviour
- mistakes
- dishonesty/ probity issues
How to answer ranking question
- what is the underlying professional issue
- say you will rank your answers based on this issue
- start with best then worst
- talk out loud as to what’s good /bad about the middle answers
What will always be the highest ranking answer
When ranking answers the one that improves the patients safety directly will always be the highest ranking answer
When may you raise concerns
- behavioural
- not acting in Line with the gmc
- dishonesty
- drug/alcohol , ill health criminal issues

Work to protect patient safety and support medical education and practice in the uk
