A

Couldn’t redistribute land as feared peasants would leave front line to claim land, peasants felt betrayed and unofficially started redistributing land between themselves.

A

Expected better pay and conditions (8 hr day introduced, legalised trade unions) but shortages by war led to industrial disruption, employers became more militant, workers had more strikes and became more radical
