Absorbency
The ability to take on another element, usually a liquid but can be light or heat
Density
The ability to float or sink
Conductivity
Ability to generate heat or electricity
Fusibility
Ability to change in to liquid
Strength
The ability of a material to stand up to forces being applied
Hardness
The ability of a material to resist scratching and tear and indentation
Toughness
Doesn’t break or shatter when pressure is played on it
Malleability
The ability of a material to be reshaped in all directions
Ductility
The ability of a material to change shape, usually by stretching
Brittleness
Opposite to ductility
Plasticity
The ability of a material to be changed in shape permanently
Elasticity
The ability of a material to absorb force and flex in different directions
