Projections, Tech Drawing, & Scaling Flashcards
What is a projection?
A representation of a three dimensional object on a two dimensional surface.
What is an Isometric projection?
A projection were the visual lines are perpendicular to the paper.
What is a Multiview projection?
A 2D representation of the top, front, & right side of the object.

What is Scaling?
To reduce or to enlarge the image of an object in order to see it properly or to be able to represent it on paper.
What are the three types of scaling?
- Full size | Ratio of 1:1
- Reduction
- Enlargement
What is a full size scale?
Shows the actual measurement of an object.
What is a Reduction scale?
Reduces the size of an object that is too large.
What is a Enlargement scale?
Increases the size of an object that is too small.
