What were the key features of when the freedom riders reached Anniston

A

When the first bus reached Anniston there were over 300 KKK members that surrounded the bus,
slashing their tyres and breaking their windows.

Then when they were trying to get away someone threw a firebomb into the bus and held the doors shut

Luckily a white policeman forced the doors open before the petrol tank exploded

Some were beaten up as they got the bus but cars were organised to take them to the airport.

When the second bus came they got beaten up but managed to drive away
