Beneficence
Ethical principle that means a nurse is to always tell the truth and not intentionally deceive a patient.
Veracity
Ethical principle that means a nurse has accepted his/her obligation to be faithful to his/her responsibilities.
Fidelity
Ethical principle that means a nurse cannot intentionally or non-intentionally harm a patient.
Nonmaleficence

Deontology
It states that actions are either right or wrong based on the action’s consequences and usefulness.
Teleology
It states that actions are either right or wrong based on one’s self-interest or self-preservation.
Egoism
It states that whatever action produces the greatest good for the greatest number is the morally right thing to do.
Utilitarianism
Attemp to discuss a problem or clinical issue that has not been examined before or one for which little research has been done.
Descriptive research
Research manipulates an independesnt variable but cannot randomly assigned subjects to control or experimental groups.
Quasi-experimental research
Research involves doing something different to atleast one tretment group.
Experimental research
Research yields results that are not quatitative. He findings are not presented statistically but rather words through description.
