Yes, to a pt requesting it at the pharamcy but they should be assesed to ensure that they are competent, intend to use the medcine appropriatly and it is clinically appropriate.
What is the max number of paracetamol and aspirin tablets that can be sold OTC at once?
Not more than 100 non effervescent tablets or capsules
Is there a legal limit on the quantity of OTC effervescent tablets (aspirin or paracetamol) that can be sold ?
No, use professional judgement to decide the appropriate quantity to suupply and what limit to impose
What is the indication of solid dose OTC codeine and dihydrocodeine products?
Short-term treatment of acute, moderate pain that is not relived by paracetamol,ibuprofen or aspirin alone
All other indications including cold, flu, cough, sore throat and minor pain has been removed
