What valves are damaged by rheumatic fever?
A
you get MS and AR from fibrosis
because:
as the fibrosis proceeds, it causes the valve to be critically narrowed
reason is something to do with pressures

A
- staph infection, antibodies formed; antibodies also have the ability to attack the host.
- 20 years after infection, antibodies attack host tissues

- tapping apex (loud first hs)
