What valves are damaged by rheumatic fever?

A

you get MS and AR from fibrosis

because:
as the fibrosis proceeds, it causes the valve to be critically narrowed

reason is something to do with pressures

explain the pathophysiology of rheumatic fever

A
  1. staph infection, antibodies formed; antibodies also have the ability to attack the host.
  2. 20 years after infection, antibodies attack host tissues
