if -ve, and lyme disease is still suspected within 4w of sx onset:
- repeat ELISA 4-6 w later
- immunoblot test for people who have had sx for 12w or longer
What is the management of lyme disease?
oral doxycycline
Management of nasal septum haematomas
refer to ENT (SAME DAY) for drainage
if left untreated, this could lead to septal necrosis and a ‘saddle-nose’ deformity
Management of latent TB
Options:
- 3 months of isoniazid (with pyridoxine) and rifampicin
- 6 months of isoniazid (with pyridoxine
