What is the difference between single stage and two-stage tendering?
Single stage = traditional method where whole Scope of works is tendered for Two stage = ECI at first stage to develop design and reduce uncertainties. Second stage is ideally negotiations for final price
What would you expect to see in a PQQ?
Company details, financial info and insurances, relevant experience and details of technical ability, capacity, H&S and QA, diversity policy
What is normalisation?
Process to make tender scoring more comparable by inflating the highest quality tender to 100% and scaling the others against this.
What was wrong with the current cost reporting process on the Dawley project?
Contractual communications and CEs were not being addressed within the contractual timescales which aside is failing to adhere to the contract leads to cost certainty.
I produced a commercial register which would be used to drive early warning meetings and proactively close communications in the contract and could also be used to inform the cost reporting process to the client.
