Process Aviation Material Guide (Supplyyyyyy) Flashcards
Type 1 material is aeronautical material managed by ALC based on individual SN. Give examples of type 1 materials.
Aircraft Engines, High Value Components, Items requiring special configuration, items in critical supply and of sufficiently high cost and low volume.
Type 2 material is supported by ALC, does not include avionics. What conditions must be met for material to qualify as type 2?
Unit price of $250 or more, procured from commercial source of supply, flight critical, and repairable.
Type 3 includes consumable aeronautical material except for avionics and is procurable from other government agencies. What conditions must be met to qualify as type 3?
Unit price less than $250, not avionics, procurable from OGA.
Type 4 materials include avionics supported by ALC. What conditions must be met for material to qualify as type 4?
Unit price of $800 or more, procured from a commercial source of supply, flight critical, and repairable.
Type 5 materials include avionics material supported by ALC. What conditions must be met for material to qualify as type 5?
Unit price less than $800, procurable from OGA
Type 6 material is Aeronautical Support Equipment supported by ALC. What conditions must be met to qualify as type 6?
Unit price greater than $250 but less than $3,000, procured initially by ALC but ALC does not replace or repair, repairs beyond $3,000 will require units to contact ALC for guidance.
