Problem-Solving Blocks Flashcards
Common Problem Solving Blocks
Perceptual blocks Intellectual blocks Emotional blocks Expressive blocks Environmental block
Perceptual Blocks
We are unable to clearly perceive the problem itself or clearly perceive the information we require to solve the problem.
Stereotyping
Seeing only what we want to see
Can block people from being able to recognize a problem early
Not seeing a problem in perspective (making a problem larger than it needs to be)
Avoiding Perceptual Blocks
Having systems in place to warn of the occurrence of problems

Asking for other people’s points of view
Being aware of potential stereotypes
