How much you have trained over a period of time (usually a week). This may increase as you become fitter.
Intesnsity
How hard someone works or tries in training. The higher the intensity the fitter they will become.
Time
How long the training sessions last. This may increase as you become fitter.
Type
The method of trying used to achieve goals. They’ll pick certain components of fitness to try and improve.
Progressive Overoad
In order to improve the training need to be demanding for the body so it can improve performance and adapt.
Specify
Training should be specific to the sport and the athletes goals.
Individual Needs
The training programme should be designed to meet individual goals and needs.
Adaption
How the body adapts to a training load by increasing the ability to cope with more loads Adaption occurs during recovery after a session is completed.
Reversibility
If training intensity stops or lacks then training effects could be reversed.
Variation
Its important to vary the training to avoid boredom and maintain enjoyment.
