Aerobic Endurance Training Flashcards
Continuous Training
Trained at a steady and moderate pace that’s just enough intensity to develop endurance. It lasts for 30 mins or longer. Can be applied for Running, Cycling and Swimming.
Little to no equipment needed and can be carried out anywhere. Can be boring and has a high risk of injury. Doesn’t develop your endurance that much.
Circuit Training
Many different activities for a short period. You go round each activity starting and stopping. Can be used for most sports.
Can be made specific and adapt any fitness level. Its not boring and keeps you motivated. A lot of equipment and space is needed with a plan of what to do.
Interval Training
You work at a high intensity working, stopping, working and repeating. This is for periods of 30s to 5 mins. It could develop explosive power as it can be any intensity. Could be used for sports such as Football, Short Runner, Swimming and Cycling.
Used for different fitness areas and is easily organised. However high risk of injury and can get bored.
