Used for those with poor motivation
5 stages to make change:
precontemplation- no intention of change within next 6months
Contemplation- intends change within 6 months
Preparation- begun taking steps and plans to make changes within 30 days
Action- has changed behavior for less than 6 months
Maintenance- has changed for more than 6 months
