What does Warming up and cooling down do to your body?

A

Warming muscles prevents injury and makes workouts more effective, cooling down lowers body temp. and dispersés lactic acid - prevents soreness

Why is Protective equipment and clothing important

A

Many sports have equipment and protective clothing built into the rules and jewellery should be removed or taped

Checking equipment and facilities

A

Organisers and officials need to check for safety before a game and if the equipment is in good condition, e.g pitch is not waterlogged

A

Rules help ensure safety and help games to flow. Rules broken means participant will be punished. Sports should be played in the spirit of ‘fair play’.
