What are the components of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems?

A

Pump - forces fluids through the system
Conductor - the pathway to carry the fluid
valves - they keep the fluid out of where it shouldn’t be
pressure gauge - monitors pressure within the system

Why are gases more easily compressed than liquids?

A

Gases are generally a lot less dense than liquids, and thus have more compressibility. If something is less dense, there is more space to compress

A

Pascal’s Law states that a force applied to a fluid is distributed equally through all parts of the fluid
