What is Quantitive data?
Factual information and numerical data
What is Qualitative data?
Subjective and opinion based
What is objective data?
based on facts and is measurable
what is subjective data?
data that is based on personal opinions

Is the test relevant and works on what is trying to be worked on
What is reliability?
Means the test can be repeated accurately
Why do performers do warm ups?
Help prepare body for exercise and should always be carried out before any session. Made up of 3 stages : 1- Cardio to increases HR 2- Stretching 3- movement patterns linked to sport
what is ballistic stretching?
Involves performing a stretch with swinging or bouncing movements to push a body part even further
What is static stretching?
Muscle is held in a stationary position for 30 seconds. Two types: Active and passive
What is Active stretching?
Performer working on one joint, pushing it beyond its point of resistance, lengthening the muscles and connective tissue around it
What is passive stretching?
When a stretch occurs with the help of an external force such as a peter or a wall
What is periodisation?
Dividing the training year into specific sections for a specific purpose
What is a macrocycle and what are the 3 periods?
Period of training involving a long term performance goal Made up of 3 distinct periods: - The Preparation period - The Competition period - The Transition period
What is a mesocycle?
usually 4-12 week period of training with a particular focus such as power
What is a microcycle?
Description of a week or a few days of training sessions
