Mohr’s method

A

Used for detecting conc of halides. Uses AgNO3 as titrant and chromate as indicator. Constant mL of indicator. pH between 6-9 to not form compounds. Blank titration requires

Volhard’s method

A

Back titration of acidic solution. A known excess of AgNO3 is added to ppte all titrand. KSCN is used as titrant. Fe3+ is the indicator to produce red FeSCN at end point.
