What do you want to know about asthma?
- Have you been hospitalized
- What medications do you take
- How often do you have attacks
Where is penicillin metabolized?
-Kidneys
If a person has renal failure and the fistula connecting the artery and vein in the left arm what should you be cautious of?
- Don’t put the blood pressure cuff on that arm
- Don’t stick a needle/IV on that arm
If a person is taken heparin what test should you do?
-PTT (intrinsic)
What goes on with liver failure?
- Problems with clotting factors
- Problems with drug metabolism
What is the most common endocrine disorders?
-Diabetes
How long does aspirin effect the blood?
-6 weeks
What is the most common anti-convulsant?
Dilantin (phenytoin)
Should you give benzodiazepine to a person early in pregnancy?
-No
How much radiation can cause osteonecrosis?
4500 centi-gray or more
How long does a patient have to be off of denosumab or phosphomax to be ok for treatment?
- 9 months
- If they have started taken it is needs to be less than 3 yrs.
What does hyperbaric oxygen do?
-Stimulate angiogenesis in osteoradionecrosis but not in BRONJ/MRONJ
If your Serum CTX is over 150 is it ok to do dental surgery?
-Yes
