When is Prepare for flying piped for a wildcat and merlin and a visiting aircraft?

Answer 1

Wildcat - minimum of 45 minutes
Merlin - 60 minutes

30 minutes before the expected arrival time of a visiting aircraft.

Question 2

When is hands to flying stations (HTFS) is to be piped?

Answer 2

15 minutes before assuming an alert state of 30 or higher

15 minutes before launch when a pre-planned launch is being used

To close up personnel when the ship has been relaxed at flying stations
