Time to minimum landing allowance reported in hours and minutes and a four figure time group
What is Ramp Fuel
When on a ship
The minimum fuel state by which aircraft (fixed and rotary) are to be back on the deck.
Aircraft below RAMP fuel or likely to be below are to declare an emergency
Command may change an Aircrafts RAMP fuel while it is airborne if it considered that the factors governing the safety factor fuel have changed.
A/C captain must acknowledge this change before it becomes effective.
What is minimum landing allowance
Ashore
Calculated from the minimum useable fuel for a particular aircraft type plus additional margins.
Airborne aircraft below or likely to be airborne below MLA are to declare an emergency.
