  1. questions were created and scenario of robbery chosen by the entire class as it wasn’t a sensitive offence and was used to gather quantitative and qualitative data and close and open ended questions before appearing in questionnaire.
  2. pilot study was conducted on the robbery scenario looking at severity of sentences in men and women and was done to make any improvements. Length on scenario shortened and problems with gender roles.
  3. updated questionnaire made scenario shorter with gender neutral terms
  4. the sample was of 24 teachers, men and women of all age gathered through an opportunity sample and completed questionnaires in the staff room.
  5. questionnaires were given to teachers in the staff room at a time, given at same time and same place to prevent situational variables.

  • in 2 groups psychology students had to come up with negative and positive attitudes to schizophrenia and then as a whole class discuss categories together and their meaning trial run on the categories were tested using an article where positive and negative attitudes had to be tallied to show time category popped up.
  • students had to type in 5 keywords related to schizophrenia and type in in the search engine and find an article from a legitimate source.
  • 3 of 15 articles selected through random sampling with all students names in a hat and chosen ones articles used.
  • Students had to highlight positive and negative attitudes in the article independently and tally how many times a category shows up.
