17 years old
Class 2 or DL9 medical certificate
Valid examination credit for PPL subjects

What are the medical requirements for a PPL
Either class 2, class 1 or DL9 medical.
How long is a DL9 good for?
DL9 medicals are good for 5 years in aviation under the age of 40, and 2 years above the age of 40.

Biennial flight review
Recent flight experience
Valid medical
What is the PPL x-country navigation syllabus?`
This is divided into day and night.
Day syllabus is comprised of 3 stages.
Stage 1 is 1 hour of dual, 1 hour of solo
Stage 2 is 2 hours of dual, 2 hours of solo
stage 3 is 2 hours of dual, 2 hours of solo
What are the privileges of a PPL
Act as PIC of an aircraft and carry passengers that you are type rated on.
Act as co-pilot of an aircraft that you are type rated on.
What are the limitations of a PPL
Not for hire/reward or remuneration
DL9 stipulations
Fly at night (unless demonstrated competency)
Fly cross country (unless demonstrated competency)
What are the hour requirements of a PPL
50 hours TT (or 40 hrs if on a restricted PPL)
15 hours dual training (including 5 hours advanced dual)
15 hours solo training
5 hours dual instrument time
5 hours dual, comprised of 2 hrs T/A and 2 hrs low flying.
What are the met conditions for sending a student solo on a navigation flight?
16 km visibility and 2000ft cloud base.

Level 4 ICAO
study in NZ or AUS for 2 years
Work in white country for 3 years
