A

(Service life is around 10 years)

  • when new or replacement garments are received (eg. check size and fit)
  • after exposure to heat, flames, chemicals and fire fighting agents
  • after exposure to body fluids (includes blood)
  • after laundering, repair or decontamination
  • at change of shift ensure:
    • inner liners are secured in place
    • all closures are functioning
    • the garments have not shrunk

  • Ensure PPC is free of contaminants
  • Ensure PPC annual inspection requirements are met
