Power over a person when that person wishes to be like you or identified by you
Referent Power
Power over a person if you have the ability to give that person rewards
Reward power
Power if you have the ability to remove rewards or to administer punishments
Coercive Power
Power if group members regard you as having expertise or knowledge
Expert Power
Power if you seen as someone who can communicate logically and persuasively
(Someone who has significant info and ability to use it)
Information Power
Power over another person when this person believes you have the right by virtue of your position
(Teachers or pastors)

- Define and analyze the problem
- Establish criteria for evaluating solutions
