  • Family or personal history of depression or anxiety
  • Complicated pregnancy
  • Traumatic birth
  • Relationship difficulties (including domestic violence)

A

Low mood

Anhedonia (lack of pleasure in activities)

Anergia (low energy)

What is the difference between postnatal depression and “baby blues”?

A

“baby blues” do not last for more than 2 weeks after giving birth.
